Set up by the universities of Stockholm (Sweden) and Heidelberg (Germany). Since Mar 2011, an organization of the type F-XE0630 - European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG).
Aims
Create an environment conducive to accelerating the development and clinical assessment of vaccine candidates for diseases of poverty; promote affordability and accessibility of vaccines for diseases of poverty in low-income populations; align major stakeholders and act as a focal point to ensure the successful development of vaccines for diseases of poverty for low-income populations; communicate to stakeholders and public the importance of EVI's work and progress towards the deployment of affordable and efficacious vaccine candidates for diseases of poverty.
