History
Founded as an internal body of the B-XC2684 - Union internationale des associations d'alpinisme (UIAA), in order to govern and administer the sport of ski mountaineering, replacing the U-XJ3962 - Comité international du ski alpinisme de compétition (CISAC), set up in 1988, Barcelona (Spain). Became an independent international competition federation with its own legal personality on 6 Oct 2007.

Regulate, promote, develop and supervise the sport of ski mountaineering on a worldwide basis.
