1975
History
1975, as Arab Centre for Vocational Training and Qualifying Trainers, Tripoli, within the framework of D-XD0063 - Arab Labour Organization (ALO). Subsequently changed title to Arab Vocational Training Centre.
Aims
Qualify trainers for training at national vocational training centres; contribute towards catering for needs of Arab countries in skilled manpower and to training of cadres in charge of vocational training activities in Arab countries; study specifications of different occupations and unify terminology used in Arab countries; study vocational training methods and select those most appropriate for Arab countries; study practical and theoretical course for training skilled and semi-skilled labour and promote performance level of industrial workers; study, prepare and produce audiovisual training aids.
