History
Established as an inter-governmental organization with India as the host country, pursuant to recommendations of the 5th, 6th and 7th Conferences of the Heads of State or Government of F-XK0563 - Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
Aims
Promote mutually beneficial cooperation in science and technology among non-aligned and other developing countries; stimulate and promote joint research, development projects and training programmes; act as a clearing house of information regarding technological capabilities of individual countries; maintain a registry of scientific and technological experts of high calibre for utilization of their services by member countries.
