History
Founded as Worldwide Council of the Animal Health Industry -- Consultation mondiale de l'industrie de la santé animale. Subsequently changed name to Worldwide Confederation of the Animal Health Industry -- Confédération mondiale de l'industrie de la santé animale (COMISA), Dec 1997; International Federation for Animal Health (IFAH), Mar 2001. Current name adopted Jun 2015. Registered in accordance with Belgian law.
Aims
Create a harmonized, science-based regulatory and trade framework that supports a global animal health industry which is economically viable and high-technology driven, contributing to a healthy and safe food supply.
