The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).
History
by E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC), as a regional intergovernmental network implementing U-XF3403 - International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP). Under the 4th EU Framework programme, implemented with U-XK0198 - Marine Science and Technology Programme (MAST III) and 'International Cooperation Outside the EU (INCO)'. Current research activities are being implemented under the programme 'Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development (EESD)' within the 5th EU Framework Programme 1998-2002.
Aims
Collate the critical mass of resources and capabilities of industrialized and developing countries in order to provide a logistical basis for managing collaboration among the countries involved and international entities.
