Jul 1980, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), as one of the specialized agencies within the framework of H-XD4569 - Arab Organization for Social Defence Against Crime (AOSD). No recent activity reported since 1984.

Aims

Study social and criminal problems to attain solutions for the phenomenon of delinquency; train experts and researchers in scientific and practical fields of social defence.

Structure

Board consisting of: President (Minister of the Interior, Saudi Arabia); General Secretary of AODS; General Director of Centre; 4 other members chosen for 2-year terms from Member States of AODS. Working Groups (5): Training and exchange of experience in police and security; role of the family and educational institutes; statistics; study of crime and criminal law; preparation of 'Arab Forum for Crime Prevention'.
