1 Oct 1963, having existed as an Indian national body since 1 Oct 1923. Also referred to in English by additional title Children's Own Garden International.

Aims

Promote rights, education and wellbeing of children; work for their happiness and give them scope to develop by themselves; work for physical, mental, spiritual and social welfare of children, and for desirable conditions, programmes and practices from pre-natal through post-natal, infancy, childhood, adolescence up to youth; encourage voluntary and professional workers; foster cooperation among groups and individuals concerned with children and youth.
