Dec 1959, as Committee of Manufacturers of Refrigeration Equipment of the EEC -- Comité des constructeurs de matériel frigorifique de la CEE (COMAF) -- Komitee der Hersteller von Kältetechnischen Erzeugnissen der EWG -- Comitato dei Costruttori di Materiale Frigorifero della CEE -- Comité van Fabrikanten van Koelmateriaal van de EEG, following the creation, in Dec 1958, of a European Committee grouping the organizations within the Common Market countries. Registered under French law of 1901. Ceased to exist Jun 1997, when merged with H-XD0644 - European Committee of Air Handling and Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers to form E-XD6636 - Eurovent.
Aims
Study problems of the profession; facilitate closer liaison among enterprises in Europe; aid exchange among European manufacturers of commercial refrigeration cabinets and equipment, refrigeration compressors and condensing units, water chillers, industrial refrigeration machines and plants, heat exchangers; contribute to improvement of market conditions and general development of the trade; represent the trade in relations with the European Authorities and international organizations.
