Set up, jointly with E-XE2825 - European Scientific Institute (ESI) , F-XD0820 - European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and CEA (Paris).
Aims
Foster and coordinate activities of member organizations in the field of medical physics and collaborate where appropriate with national and international organizations; encourage exchange between members and disseminate professional and scientific information through publications and meetings; encourage scholarships and exchange between countries; propose guidelines for education, training and accreditation programmes; make recommendations on the appropriate general responsibilities, organizational relationships and roles of workers in the field; encourage formation of organizations for medical physics where such organizations do not exist.
