Aims
Promote closer cooperation, exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge among family physicians in the region; use and develop family medicine as an instrument for social and health development and work for its recognition as a medical discipline and for family practice as a recognized specialty in the region; work for the introduction of family medicine into the undergraduate curriculum and for uniformity in postgraduate training of medical graduates in family medicine; lobby for inclusion of family physicians in decision-making on regional health policy.
