1987. Statutes adopted 1990. Registered in accordance with USA law.

Aims

Promote interest in the past in all countries; encourage the development of regionally-based histories; foster international interaction; promote scientific investigation of the past, ethical archaeological practice and protection of cultural heritage worldwide; support empirical investigation and appreciation of the political contexts within which research is conducted and interpreted and promote dialogue and debate among advocates of different views of the past.
