History
1960, Latakia (Syrian AR), as an institute of D-XD2903 - League of Arab States (LAS). Also referred to as: Arab Institute of Forestry; Arab Institute for Forestry and Pastures; Forests General Institute. Set up in cooperation with B-XB0971 - FAO. Since 1979, attached to D-XD5526 - Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD).
Aims
Provide students from Arab countries with vocational training in forestry sciences and natural pastures.
