The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

Founded

1979

History

Founded by national associations in France, UK and Sweden. Previous statutes adopted 1 Jun 1999, Brussels (Belgium), incorporating changes to allow merger with H-XD7877 - International Association of Medical Prosthesis Manufacturers (IAPM). Merger finalized end 1999, following integration discussions launched 1998 and signature of a memorandum of understanding, 9 Jun 1999. The combined organization, although restructured, continued to operate under the 'EUCOMED' title. Current statutes adopted, 2009. Absorbed activities of U-XD7700 - Disposable Hypodermic and Allied Equipment Manufacturers' Association of Europe (DHAEMAE-SIS). Ceased to exist when F-XJ9566 - MedTech Europe became single entity for EUCOMEDC and H-XD2530 - European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association (EDMA), Nov 2016.

Improve patient and clinician access to modern, innovative and reliable medical technology, so as to improve safety and well-being of patients and improve healthcare systems.
