Aug 1993, Asunción (Paraguay). Evolved into an organisation focusing exclusively on Bolivia. Finances expected to cease within a few years after 2018.
Aims
Develop a system of laboratories in Latin America, cooperating through active research with bioactive compounds, especially from natural sources, linking and complementing their facilities through an active exchange of scientists and compounds, and jointly planning and executing research activities; design strategies for and assign priorities to the joint exploration of natural resources of the region; promote contacts between the academic community of scientists and commercial enterprises that may transform research results into commercial products.
