MAIN TOPICS OF THE SUMMIT: HIV-AIDS INITIATIVE, CLIMATE CHANGE & ENVIRONMENT ISSUE.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SUMMIT ARE:
to provide participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills of the quality required for the advancement of the fight for peace and, to provide a personal development experience tailored to the needs of Medical Research Institutes and NGOs/CBOs that will enable participants to review and assess their own capabilities with a view to identifying ways in which they can increase the effectiveness of their contribution to the organizations they work for and to the process of development.
THE METHODOLOGY OF THE SUMMIT:
The summit will be conducted on participatory lines with short plenary inputs followed by general and small group discussions.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
The summit enjoys financial support from the Bank of America, the American Social Affairs, Allegheny Foundation, Brady Education Foundation, Rodney Fund and Bridge Medical Research Foundation. As a result, Bridge Medical Research
Foundation will provide sponsorship for up to four (4) participants only per selected organization or Institute.
NOMINATION AND SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS:
We are pleased to inform you that your organization has been selected for sponsorship to the summit. This in recognition of your organization's contribution to the NGO/CBO movement in your country. You are therefore requested to nominate four (4) active members from your institute or organization to benefit from the sponsorship. In order to foster gender balance, we would appreciate if your delegation contains two female participants.
THE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING:
- Round trip economy air transport (or equivalent in land transport) from participants' nearest airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and vice-versa.
-Meals and refreshments for the entire summit duration.
However, each participant will be required to pay a registration fee of US$ 350 (Three Hundred and fifty American Dollars). This fee will go towards each participant's accommodation for six nights and medical insurance. Bridge Medical Research Foundation will not assume responsibility for costs other than those listed above. The Nomination form which will be sent to you as soon as you confirm your organization's participation must be completed by the nominating organization and faxed to Bridge Medical Research Foundation fax number +1-270-812-0615 before November 17th ,2011 .
