Movement reorganized and Headquarters moved to UK in 1923. Constitution revised: 1957, 1960, 1963, 1969, 1972, 1982, 1991, 2002.
Aims
Help pacifists and their national organizations wage the nonviolent struggle for peace on a world scale; encourage creation of new peace organizations in countries where none exist; help conscientious objectors legally, financially and in other ways; provide an information service for dissemination of news about peace and social change activities everywhere; work for disarmament and abolition of conscription; provide a link among peace organizations and persons sincerely wishing (and working) for the abolition of war; promote nonviolence as an instrument of social change.
