Encyclopedia reviews - short quotes

The third edition of the Encyclopedia is an indispensable step forward in providing contents to the idea of an interrelated world. If there existed a global Think Tank this Encyclopedia would be a major basis for its work. Even a platonic Global Ruler would gain much knowledge from it. This is a real treasure trove providing multiple insights into problem perceptions which both reflect and shape realities.
Yehezkel Dror
European Institute of Public Administration,
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

There is nothing like it, either in depth or scope. A unique contribution to our understanding of the global problematique.

Peter Russell
author of Global Brain

...a valuable register of world problems ... serves as a thesaurus of terms relating to world development and international problem solving.
Choice

A potentially useful tool. And certainly unique!
Future Survey

This new encyclopedia makes a major contribution by documenting world problems and human potential factually yet with sensitivity and creativity. It reflects significant advances in man's consciousness as well as his recent technological accomplishments.

Saul Kuchinsky

What an idea! (...) Warmly recommended, a fresh approach that hopefully will stimulate more creativity in all of us.
Johan Galtung
Olof Palme Professor of Peace Studies,

Any one of us... can actively become a part in the world problem solving process by using this encyclopedia.

Elise Boulding, Secretary general

...a classic thesaurus of woe, confusion and misunderstanding...
John Vidal

...a powerfully outstanding piece of work ... as a research tool, a source of material and a continuing inspiration.
We would all be better off if there were more books of this stature.
Richard A Slaughter
Futures

A catalogue of this scope... reflects back to the early encyclopedia experiments... It suggests a reawakened yearning to grasp the universal human condition... the book's presence is totemic.
Jeff Forbes
US Association for the Club of Rome
The Encyclopedia of World Problem and Human Potential introduces the user gently to [a] highly unsatisfactory state of world affairs, providing him with an improved insight into the many contradictions in which world problems are ensnarled, and the reasons that they have come about.
