The Yearbook of International Organizations Online is a database accessible via online browsers. Being free of space constraints, it contains more information than the book or CD-ROM versions of the Yearbook of International Organizations. For instance, the book and CD-Rom contain descriptions of 35,000 active international organizations, while the online database includes nearly double that figure by including profiles of 25,000 dormant or inactive organizations. In addition, the Yearbook online is updated continually and therefore contains the most recent information - the book and CD-ROM editions are only published once a year.
