Increase public awareness of food allergy and its consequences; educate people about the condition; advocate on behalf of all those affected by it; advance research into its causes, prevalence, cure and prevention.Available with paid subscription only.
Works with media to ensure fair and accurate reporting on issues surrounding food allergy; conducts publicity campaigns; conducts training sessions and seminars; works with policy makers on federal, state and local initiatives in such areas as food labelling, schools, emergency medical services, camps, restaurants and airlines; supports and participates in research studies focusing on the epidemiology of food allergy. Organizes: Patient Conferences (March, April, May); FAAN Kids Congress; Food Allergy Awareness Week; FAAN Alliance Meeting (September); FAAN Teen Summit. Founding member of Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Alliance (FAAA).
