My favourite spots: Top restaurants:

Toqué! is one of Montréal's top restaurants, the place to go if you are looking for an amazing culinary experience. It is located just across from the Palais des congrès.

Café Birks by Europea: Lunch or afternoon tea in the elegant setting of the Birks Jewellery store is lovely. Enjoyment guaranteed.

Le Pied de Cochon: It’s loud and the room is small and narrow – so why go there? Because the inventive and provocative Chef Martin Picard is known for reinventing classic Québécois dishes in unexpected ways! An epicurean experience.

Best bars:

Plan B, a trendy but laid-back bar, is a great place to start or end your evening. Located in the Plateau, it’s the best setting to experience the authentic Montréal.

Le Pullman, one of my favorite wine bars (bar à vin), is perfectly located on Avenue du Parc. Grab a bite before an evening in the nearby Quartier des spectacles.

The Sinclair Terrace, the backyard garden terrace of the boutique hotel the St-Sulpice, is a hidden jewel. Located just behind the Notre-Dame Basilica and next to the Sulpician's Gardens, the "oldest in North America", it is a nice place for drinks or dining. Open rain or shine.

Hot spots:

La Montagne… our Mount Royal is a fabulous park where people can run, bike, walk, picnic and relax – plus it offers breathtaking views of the city.

For more than a century, the Quartier des spectacles, our new Entertainment District, has been Montréal’s cultural heart. Today, it is a stunning example of urban revitalization and restoration. A must to explore.

Old Montréal, Cobblestone streets, buildings dating back to 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, waterfront parks and walkways plus a quaint and charming neighbourhood feeling. Also a magnet for the creative crowd with designer studios and boutiques, galleries and high-tech venues.
