Dates to note, places to be

by the Union of International Associations, UIA

The UIA aims to promote and facilitate the work of international associations by documenting civil society activities, publishing research reports, and providing training and networking opportunities. One of its main activities is the UIA Associations Round Table, bringing together representatives of international associations to learn practical skills and share experience.

Please save the dates for two UIA Associations Round Tables 2013:

in Asia: Singapore on 23-24 October, Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Center
in Europe: Brussels on 12 November, Pullman Hotel at Brussels Midi

The programme covers topics of relevance to international associations, such as: membership management and retention; sponsorship negotiations; community engagement; and communications tools and strategies, with emphasis on subjects of immediate and current interest.

The presentations and workshops focus on offering practical skills and information of use to associations in their work, with speakers and trainers with direct experience in working with international associations.

You can find more information - as it becomes available - on our website: Please click here!

We thank our partners for making the event possible and affordable for all associations. They will be present, should you want to talk to them, but there will be no sales presentations in the programme: this is an event for training and networking.

In addition, the UIA is co-hosting the European Association Summit (EAS) on 16 and 17 May in Brussels, together with the European Society of Association Executives, ESAE, the Federation of European and International Associations Established in Belgium, FAIB, and the Brussels Convention Bureau (VisitBrussels).

If you need to know the latest thinking, current trends and future developments inside the world of associations… the EAS is for you. For more info and details of the agenda, please click here.  Register now! Places are limited, so don’t wait. After you have registered, Visitbrussels will confirm your participation.
