Executive Master in International Association Management

Training. Executive Master in International Association Management will resume in January 2018. This 17-day modular training for association professionals is operated by the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management . The teaching faculty, drawn from Solvay academic experts, is teamed up with association executives from the programme's supporting partners ( Union of International Associations (UIA) , Federation of European and International Associations (FAIB), European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) and Visitbrussels).

UNWTO Annual Report 2016

Growth.As stated in the Annual Report, 2016 proved to be another excellent year for international tourism despite many challenges. International tourist arrivals grew for the seventh consecutive year to reach 1.2 billion, a sequence of uninterrupted growth not recorded since the 1960s.
Between 2008 and 2016, 300 million more people travelled internationally for tourism-related reasons. Growth in advanced economy destinations, representing an increase of 5% compared to 2015, exceeded that of emerging economies (+2%).

According to the 58th edition (published June 2017) of the UIA International Meetings Statistics Report, Monaco hosted the largest number of international association meetings in 2016 relative to population: Monaco has a population of 37,800 and it hosted ten international association meetings in 2016, for a ratio of one meeting to 3,780 people. Belgium, number one in terms of absolute number of international association meetings in 2016, was 3rd in this ranking, with one meeting to 11,923 people.
