History
2004, Seoul (Korea Rep), when Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Republic of Korea and B-XB2745 - World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), of which it became a cornerstone of its ST-EP (Sustainable Tourism for Eliminating Poverty) initiative. Constitution approved at 16th UNWTO General Assembly, 2005, Dakar (Senegal). Since 2013, in process of becoming an Independent International Organization called International ST-EP Organization.
Aims
Harness the power of tourism to generate new opportunities for development and empowerment in least developed and developing countries, and particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
