History
Founded following meetings of a group of over 20 leaders of engineering education institutions and corporate partners, 9 Oct 2006, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and 30 Sep 2007, Istanbul (Turkey). Encouraged by the C-XJ1434 - International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES); modelled after the F-XF1413 - American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Engineering Deans Council (EDC).
Aims
Enhance the capabilities of engineering deans to transform schools in support of societies in a global economy; serve as a global network of engineering deans, and leverage on the collective strengths, for advancement of engineering education and research.
