History
18 Apr 1990, by the Irish Film Institute and the Médiathèque de la Communauté française de Belgique, as an initiative of H-XF0317 - MEDIA Programme of the European Commission. Registered according to Irish law. Ceased to exist.
Aims
Initiate, develop, promote and administer schemes for promotion of European film culture through the medium of the home consumer market, especially the video market, within the framework of the MEDIA Programme of the European Commission. Through these schemes: contribute to cross-border distribution of European audiovisual products; improve the market position of European audiovisual products; increase dissemination of European audiovisual products throughout Europe (to the ultimate benefit of producers) by assisting those market forces, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, already dedicated to these ends.
