History
16 Jun 1992, by the Government of Slovakia. Merger, 1 Sep 2003, of Bratislava International Centre for Family Studies (BICFS) -- Medzinarodné Stredisko pre Stúdium Rodiny v Bratislave and the 'Research Institute of Labour, Social Affairs and Family' created the Centre for Work and Family Studies -- Stredisko pre Stúdium Prace a Rodiny. Assumed activities of 'Occupational Safety Research and Educational Institute' in Jan 2004. Current name adopted 28 Feb 2006.
Aims
Focus on sociological study in the fields of social and family policy, labour market and employment policy, industrial relations and occupational safety and health.
