History

14 May 1926, Geneva (Switzerland), in accordance with Congress of Historical Sciences resolution, 15 Apr 1923, Brussels (Belgium). First Statutes adopted 1926; amended: 1933, 1950, 1957, 1960. Current Statutes adopted by General Assembly, 4 Sep 1992, Prague (Czech Rep), superseding constitution voted 21 Aug 1975, San Francisco CA (USA), and modifications introduced 28 July 1977, Puerto de la Cruz (Spain). Current statutes amended 2005, Sydney (Australia). Registered in accordance with Swiss Civil Code.

Promote the advancement of historical sciences by means of international cooperation.
