1985. Statutes approved 15 Jun 1990; amended 12 Aug 1992. Sub name: An Alliance of Geospatial Science and Technology Organizations. Ceased to exist.
Aims
Cooperatively develop interdisciplinary strategies for the profession to serve social needs; facilitate cooperation between member organizations in areas of common interest; develop opportunities for and facilitate the promotion of scientific and technical development in areas of common interest; foster communications and encourage the flow of information within both the profession and the user community; promote availability and appropriate use of high quality geospatial information and related technologies.
