14 Apr 1948, Santiago (Chile), as Inter-American Association of Sanitary Engineering -- Asociación Interamericana de Ingenieria Sanitaria. Previously also referred to as Inter-American Association of Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (IAASEES). Constitution amended Jun 1976, Buenos Aires (Argentina); current constitution approved Oct 1992, Buenos Aires. Legally registered in Caracas (Venezuela) and in Sao Paulo (Brazil). Since 1999, a regional group of: C-XC0103 - International Water Association (IWA).
Aims
Promote development of sanitary engineering and environmental sciences in the Americas; promote scientific and technological contributions toward public health and environmental sanitation.
