History

Founded following the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Economic Community (25 March 1957), by several personalities from the European Cereals Trade to represent interests of cereals and feedstuffs traders. Enlarged as an organisation in parallel to the development of the European Community. In 1997, formed a new structure with Association du Négoce des Graines Oléagineuses, Huiles et Graisses Animales et Végétales et leurs Dérivés de la Communauté Economique Européenne (ANGO) and Union du Commerce des Engrais et Produits Phytosanitaires de la Communauté Européenne (UCEPPCE), in order to meet new trends in Commission policy. Hosts secretariats of E-XE2738 - Unistock Europe and E-XE3448 - Working Committee of the Malting Industry of the EU in order to form closer synergies on the Brussels scene.

Aims

Study from scientific, technical and institutional viewpoints, all problems concerning trade and related matters as well as international economic integration, particularly within the EU, in order to seek out and apply the corresponding solutions; represent interests of its members towardst he European Union Institutions and other professional organizations; ensure respect for the commercial function in the different sectors of the cereals, oil seeds, animal feed, pulses, olive oil, oils and fats and agrosupply trade.
