13-15 Sep 1976, Sofia (Bulgaria), at Constituent Assembly, when statutes were adopted, as International Information Centre on the Sources of Balkan and Mediterranean History -- Centre international d'information sur les sources de l'histoire balkanique et méditerranéenne (CIBAL). Recognized by resolution of 18th General Assembly of UNESCO, 1978, Paris (France).
Aims
Promote research into the history, economy, politics and culture of the Balkan countries in libraries, archives and databases; disseminate the results of this research.
