1965, by Commonwealth Heads of Government through Commonwealth Committee on Legal Cooperation, whose work is now continued by the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Division of C-XC0376 - Commonwealth Secretariat.
Aims
Promote the dissemination and accessibility of legal information across the Commonwealth; bolster the justice sector of Commonwealth countries; review intra-Commonwealth arrangements in the legal field; organize regular ministerial meetings to guide the work of Legal and Constitutional Affairs Division of the Secretariat; share comparative experience; promote human rights; cooperate in combating international commercial crime and drug trafficking.
