The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Founded within the framework of D-XD5643 - Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA), on merger of East Africa Bean Research Network (EABRN) (anglophone) and Réseau pour I'Amélioration du haricot Phaseolea dans la région de l'Afrique Centrale (RESAPAC) (francophone), previous networks of U-XE4637 - International Centre for Tropical Agriculture. No activities reported for several years since 2010.

Aims

Contribute to the social welfare and economic growth of the people in East and Central Africa while protecting natural resource base by providing acceptable and marketable bean based technologies and strengthening institutional capacity to adequately address existing and emerging bean research and development agenda in the region.
