Aims
Promote responsible forest management worldwide, based on principles which ensure that all forests are managed in ways that are environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable; provide a place where people with different interests can agree what responsible management means, translating that means into standards; facilitate market-based incentives for forest managers to adopts and implement those standards.
