Founded 13 July 2009, simultaneously with SEAMEO QITEP in Language and SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics. A regional centre of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
Provide relevant and quality programmes in professional excellence for science teachers and education personnel through capacity building activities, resource sharing, research and development and networking; improve the quality of science teachers in the region; meet the needs for more extensive networks, sharing and exchanges.
