History
1971, as Nordic Coordinating Committee on Drug Abuse -- Nordisk Kontaktmannsutvalg for Narkotikaproblemer, within the framework of D-XD2984 - Nordic Council (NC). Closed down as an independent body from 1 Jan 1997. Activities taken over by D-XD4238 - Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM).
Aims
Exchange information, experiences and coordinate activities concerning the reduction of demand and supply of drugs.

Committee (meets twice a year), comprising senior officials in charge of drug abuse control. National delegations are usually headed by representatives of Ministries of Social Affairs and/or Health. Secretariat currently located in Copenhagen (Denmark).
