History
Apr 1992, Hamburg (Germany), within F-XF1302 - International Forum for Child Welfare (IFCW). As of 2004 "ceased to operate". Activities taken over by F-XJ3812 - Eurochild.
Aims
Improve the quality of life for children and young people in the European Union region; ensure services for children in need; raise the profile of child welfare with the EU institutions; assist EU institutions to understand children's needs and to respond appropriately; promote high quality practice throughout Europe. monitor and influence legislation; provide opportunities for advancement and training for those working with deprived, disadvantaged or disabled children.
