The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1991
History
1991. Originally set up 1955, as a UK organization with the title Crusade Against Cruelty to Animals, subsequently took the name 'EarthKind' and then present title on combining of the UK group with its USA offshoot set up earlier in 1991. Ceased to exist 2003, due to lack of finances.
Aims
Through education, encourage recognition of the interdependence of all life on earth, and the intrinsic value of its animal life.
