Jul 1981, as Inter-American Center of Academic Cooperation for Economic and Social Development -- Centro Interamericano de Cooperación Académica para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (CICADES), on the occasion of 1st Assembly.
Aims
Provide technical assistance and advisory services to member institutions of higher education, i e universities in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, and to national and international organizations concerned with economic and social development of the Americas; encourage, stimulate, and support joint undertakings and cooperation between and among member institutions.
