History
Founded Sep 1946, London (UK), at 1st meeting (held at the invitation of 3 British engineering institutions), as Conference of Engineering Institutions of the British Commonwealth. Sometimes referred to as Commonwealth Engineering Conference. Present name adopted 1975.
Aims
Advance the common aims of participating institutions; cooperate with other international organizations and support or supplement their work in the engineering field; encourage engineering education and training in the Commonwealth and achieve parity of engineering qualifications.
