Apr 1948, within the framework of B-XB0971 - FAO, by Article VI-1 of the FAO Constitution, as Latin American Forestry Commission. Previously also referred to as Commission des forêts pour l'Amérique latine -- Comisión Forestal Latinoamericana (COFLA) and Comisión Forestal Latinoamericana y del Caribe. Based at E-XE9569 - FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (FAO/RLC).
Aims
Advise on formulation of forestry policy; review and coordinate its implementation at a regional level; exchange information and advise on suitable practices and action in regard to technical forestry problems.
