History
Founded 1971, as Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund, within the framework of Sierra Club (SC), a US body set up in 1892. Present name adopted Aug 1997. Also referred to as Earthjustice Legal Defense Fund.
Aims
As a public interest law firm, specializing in cases preserving natural resources, protecting public health, advancing clean energy, and combating climate change, use the power of the law to take on the environmental challenges of our time.
