The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

8 May 1964, Brussels (Belgium), by Decision (64/300/EEC) of the E-XE3068 - Council of the European Union on cooperation between the central banks of the Member States of H-XD0665 - European Community, amended by Decision (90/142/EEC) of 12 Mar 1990. A constituent body of H-XF0662 - European Communities (EC), to be consulted regarding institutional changes in the monetary area (Art 102 a of EEC Treaty as amended by the Single European Act which entered into force on 1 Jul 1987). Ceased to exist as of 1 Jan 1994, as foreseen under the T-XT9113 - Treaty on European Union (Maastricht Treaty), signed 7 Feb 1992; members have become members of the Council of H-XF2874 - European Monetary Institute (EMI), set up in the process towards F-XF4335 - European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU).

Aims

Promote coordination of monetary policies of the European Community member countries; foster cooperation between the European Community central banks.
