First Assembly held 29-31 Oct 1984, Manila (Philippines). Commenced activities in Jan 1985. No activities reported since 2010.
Aims
Promote and strengthen organizational, professional expertise and entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities of trading organizations (TOs), equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to enter world markets with confidence; promote and facilitate trade and economic cooperation among TOs of developing and developed countries and with countries of Central and Eastern Europe, CIS and other countries in transition; exchange trade and business information; create opportunities for mutual trade; promote exchange of experience relating to international trading; enhance cross-fertilization of ideas and expansion of world trade.
