History
Established 12 Jul 1957, by agreement between the five Nordic countries regarding the cessation of passport control at inter-Nordic boundaries. Also referred to as Nordic Aliens Committee.
Aims
Act as a cooperation committee between the first instances in the immigration field in the Nordic countries; coordinate immigration control in Nordic countries and discuss questions of importance to the common passport control area.
