History
In 1956, divided into two separate movements: H-XH0609 - European Centre for Federalist Action and H-XH4801 - Movement of European Federalists. Agreement to form present Union, 7-9 Apr 1972, Nancy (France); set up Apr 1973. Statutes adopted 13 Apr 1973, Brussels (Belgium). Statutes modified: at 10th Congress, 16 Mar 1980, Strasbourg (France); at 15th Congress, 16 May 1992, Milan (Italy); at 17th Congress, 18 Apr 1997; at 22nd Congress, 11 Oct 2008.
Aims
Promote the constitution of a European Federation to overcome the divisions of the past and ensure a future of peace and economic prosperity.
