History
Jun 1988, Stockholm (Sweden), at 4th World Congress on AIDS. A European Community Concerted Action, ENTA project started 1 Jan 1989. It ended 1998.
Aims
Conduct multicentre prospective trials in the treatment of HIV infection and the related opportunistic infections and cancers; complement national clinical research organizations and allow completion of protocols that need supranational European collaboration such as in cases of relatively rare diseases or when very large numbers of patients are needed.
