History
Founded by the joint action of H-XC1269 - International Association of Crafts and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (IACME), by: H-XD2005 - International Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Commercial Enterprises (IFSMC); H-XD2006 - International Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Industrial Enterprises (IFSMI); and U-XE3358 - Union of Craft Industries and Trades of the EEC, taking over the activities of UACEE which then ceased to exist. Statutes modified 1996.
Aims
Create an SME friendly climate in the EU in which SMEs can thrive; monitor EU policy and legislative process and keep members informed on all matters of relevance to crafts and SMEs; represent and promote interests of Crafts and SMEs to the EU institutions and other international organisations; support members academically, technically and legally on all areas of EU policy; support the idea of European integration and contribute to European cooperation.
