History
Founded 27 Nov 1989, Moscow (USSR), by large coal, oil and gas recovering and processing enterprises. Re-registered, 3 Jun 1992, as an international non-governmental public organization. Re-registered in the Ministry of Justice of Russia, 1999.
Aims
Promote comprehensive development of international ties so as to concentrate scientific and technical potential of scientists and scientific organizations on the settlement of problems in the sphere of production, development and rational utilization and saving of fuel and energy resources, and improvement of the ecological situation in different regions of the world.
